COMMUNITY SAFETY

Useful experience.
Clear boundaries.

The community exists to help people ask better questions about life in Portugal. It is moderated, not anonymous free-for-all chat.

Advice has limits

Community experience cannot replace qualified legal, tax, medical or safety advice.

01

Be specific and useful.

Explain the place, timing, household and practical outcome. Share your own experience honestly. Correct a mistake when it is pointed out and separate what happened to you from what everyone must do.

02

Do not post harmful or objectionable material.

No harassment, bullying, hate, threats, sexual exploitation, fraud, impersonation, dangerous instruction, illegal activity, spam or repeated unsolicited promotion. Do not target a private person or publish allegations that cannot be responsibly supported.

03

Keep private information private.

Do not post passport or identity numbers, tax numbers, case references, medical records, addresses, signatures, payment details, private correspondence or another person’s contact information. Moderators may remove or redact content that creates a privacy or safety risk.

04

Professional participation must be transparent.

Professionals must identify relevant commercial interests and must not present a paid service as an independent community recommendation. Advertising cannot buy Verified or Hub Recommended status.

05

Moderation and enforcement.

The Hub may reject, edit for privacy, limit, archive or remove content and may restrict repeated abusive submissions. Reports are reviewed according to risk and urgency. Credible threats or child-safety concerns may be escalated to the appropriate authority.
